Re: [higgins-dev] Android question

Hello.

There is an other possible way to install Android I-Card Selector on actual Android device. It is the using of local Android proxy server instead of browser plugin. Local proxy server performs the following functions:
  • injection _javascript_ into all web pages;
  • processing requests from _javascript_.
At now we discuss it.

Hi Denis,

Thanks for your response, this is a follow up.

Would anyone in the Higgins community know if down the road there will be an selector implementation that can run on an actual Android device?  Any ideas on the time frame for support of such an implementation?

Also, Higgins supports 2 iPhone implementations, #1 - A plug-in that (much like Android) cannot be installed on the actual  device (unless a jailbreak is performed), and #2 - a selector that uses an alternative invocation method (custom uri scheme icard-http://).  Would anyone in the Higgins community know if similiar alternative selector implementation can be done for Android?

thanks for your help,

Mirko Delgado

Hello.

Google doesn't provide any kind of installation plugins into the
Browser. So, You can't install any plugins to Browser, except by
modifying the device firmware. We strongly don't recommend to do it. We
didn't test it on real device.
