Agenda 1. [Brian] We are still working on 1.1M4. - http://wiki.eclipse.org/Higgins_1.1M4
- Need to resolve 251102. - Update from Jim - He spoke with Greg on the topic of the configuration code. He has made some observations in the code that he believes are issues and plans to address them. He would like to implement fixes to the bugs he has found and have Rajalakshmi review those and then commit them. I'm not sure what timeframe this would happen in.
- The general plan is to not wait for 251102 to be fixed and do an M4 build (this week or early next week) on the last stable/buildable component set. Working on clarifying some questions on what potential (API) changes may be on on the horizon for M5 before we complete the M4 build. Will send out further updates as we progress through this.
2. [Hank] Update on support for devices in model discussion - - We discussed some of the specifics Hank is working on to update the data model to support devices and related attributes.
- The net of this discussion is:
- The goal is to keep the core data model small and generic (e.g. include access control, but not have it include person or device). We would instead define/create a separate model extension to support specialized model elements involving person, device etc.
- The next step will be to continue this conversation at IIW next week (Jim, Hank, Paul, Drummond, Markus and anyone else that would like to join), to refine what is in the core model (HOWL ontology) and what ontology will go into the model extensions. We will also make sure various use cases (e.g. for person and device) can be supported.
Please note - there will *NOT* be a Higgins Developers call next week due to conflicts with IIW meetings.
regards...Brian
