Agenda
======

1. Review deployment configs
   http://wiki.eclipse.org/index.php/Deployments

Paul explained that the site has been reorg’d to orient comletely from
deployment perspectives. Each architectural diagram shows exactly the
components used in that deployment. When there are variants on a specific
deployment, such as the variant between the H1 deployments Firefox
(http://wiki.eclipse.org/H1_Identity_Agent_Deployment#Firefox_Architecture_V
ariant) and IE
(http://wiki.eclipse.org/H1_Identity_Agent_Deployment#IE_Architecture_Varian
t), each one has its own architectural drawing. (A few bugs were spotted by
Paul and Tom in the Firefox variant. Paul fixed some of these.)

We next looked at the H2 deployment. Dale was driving and not able to look
at it directly but will review it with the Novell team and communicate any
updates to Paul.

Jim asked if the architecture diagrams were supposed to be the ideal
architecture or the deployed architecture. For example, there are
discrepancies between the H2 architecture and what Novell has deployed.
There was consensus that there should be both: one diagram that is accurate
picture of the current deployment and a second that shows the target
architecture for that deployment. Both will evolve forward with the overall
project.

Paul also reviewed the H3 and H4 deployment diagrams.

The bottom of the Higgins Deployments Page
(http://wiki.eclipse.org/index.php/Deployments) includes information about
specific deployments that are available. There was consensus about the value
a complete documented deployment package that can be downloaded and deployed
easily by developers. An example is what is currently shown on the
Cloudtripper Project home page, http://cloudtripper.org Paul asked who he
could work with for more information on these. Jim said Daniel would be the
best one for the Bandit Project.

2. Status of 1.0M9 (1.0 Milestone 9)
------------------------------------

Paul said he wants to ensure the Valery and AnthonyB codestreams are merged
before declaring victory on the 0.9 milestone.

Paul would like the agenda in Austin to focus primarily on 1.0, and
secondarily on Barcelona.

Jim reported that he moved to machine where he installed just Java 1.4 and
has been dealing with bugs for a week. He’s ready to check in the code.

3. 1.0 release, New Addition: Enabling IdAS registry configuration using
Configuration API
-----------------

This has been requested by Mike (who was not able to be on the call). Markus
wanted to make sure the goal is to be able to configure the IdAS registry
using the Configuration API, without having dependencies on having write
permissions for XRDS documents in the correct places. Markus, Greg, and Jim
discussed what they thought Mike’s goal is. Jim described it this way:
before Markus’ update, a context would be registered in the registry and its
configuration data was in a separate configuration file. Tom confirmed that
this was the case – the configuration file was separate. Jim thinks that
Mike wants to continue to dynamically register and configure components;
Mike doesn’t want multiple configuration files, just one.

Paul suggested that Markus write up what he believes Mike is asking for and
then Mike can confirm or enhance that. Markus agreed to do that.
