Currently, the set of JARs required to run the STS(+IdAS+JNDI CP) on
Tomcat exceeds 20 MB.
As a comparison of the Microsoft alternative to Higgins:
.Net 3.0 Framework Redistributable Runtime: 50.3 MB
+Internet Explorer 7.0 For WinXP SP2: : 14.8 MB
As I've said before, our biggest challenge for adoption will be getting
our package onto desktops.
Thanks,
