I would like to see the package name be "org.eclipse.higgins.sts" as this is a token service not a tokenissuer, the sts package name describes the package in a generic way

Subject

[higgins-dev] Higgins Dev Call September 14 at 12pm ET

Attendees
- Tom, Jim, Dale (Novell)
- Heather, Tony, Mike (IBM)
- Paul, Mary (SocialPhysics)
- Jerry (Sun)
- Brian (Serena/ALF)

DIDW review
- Higgins informational meeting on Tuesday was attended Kim, Mike, Arun and
Sam of Microsoft, Uppili, Raj, Dale, Mary, Paul and some others
- There was approx 90 minutes of Q&A mostly from the MS folks (who hadn't
been able to attend the Raleigh F2F) about Higgins, its architecture,
deployment plans, etc. It was a good opportunity to build a better
understanding of Higgins.
- There was a panel presentation with Q&A on Wed afternoon that was well
received, standing room only, good questions, etc.
- Dale said it interesting how frequently Higgins was mentioned in the other
presentations
- Heather asked if we can we get a copy of Jamie's presentation?
- Dale said the DIDW presentations will be posted to the website
- Mary is working on posting to the Higgins site the PPT used in the panel
presentation

Potential future interoperability event
- Paul mentioned discussions he and Mary had with Jamie Lewis about a
potential CardSpace interoperability event
- The when and what are unknown, but Jamie's thought was to start
discussions with a group that included at least Microsoft, IBM, Novell, Red
Hat, Ping, Higgins and maybe one or two others

Legal Issues
- Discussed follow up now that we've seen the MS patent promise
- Jerry: there are 2-3 remaining issues where we need a bit more from MS
- Jerry suggested should go forward to ask other major contributors to WS-*
(e.g. Sun, IBM) for similar covenants

IdAS
- Paul: There was a great lunch discussion about schemas with Mark Wahl,
Dick Hardt, Bob Morgan, Johannes and others about collaborating on schema
work (e.g.
http://identityschemas.org). During the lunch there was rapid
convergence on the using OWL as the description language, on starting a
mailing list, on working together on these problems
- Tom and Jim mentioned their LDAP IdAS work is proceeding using the latest
Higgins.owl base ontology
- Tom said Novell was open to the idea of collaborating with the schema
group
- Paul expressed the desirability of this new group using Higgins.owl as the
starting point for the development of new schemas
- Tom agreed saying that this will reduce the number of required
transformations
- Tom: WRT IdAS I think we're converging. We're working on the Person schema
as a specific example and this is driving the progress
- Jim: I agree, especially the recent messages. Seems like we are converging

Misc
- Paul said we need more resources in the ISS area
- Dale suggested perhaps Novell's Bandit resources could collaborate and
that he and Paul should discuss this

STS
- Brian: ALF is an anxious customer of STS: what is the status?
- Mike: nearly there, one last certificate of originality required and we're
working on that today
- Paul suggested the package name be org.eclipse.higgins.tokenissuer.sts
