[gmf-dev] Proposal for an early GMF 1.0.2 release

Hi Team, 

The WTP project has requested a maintenance
release for October 29. The request has been approved by the WTP PMC and

I have been requested by the IBM team
to do the same for GMF. UML2 and TPTP are also looking at doing this. 

Here's what I propose for your agreement
(or dissent). 

We will plan a 1.0.2 maintenance release
for October 29. 
We will still plan a 1.0.3 maintenance
release approximately January/February following the rest of Callisto release
train. 

We currently have 10 Bugzillas targeted
against the 1.0.2 maintenance release.

It is unfortunate these issues were
found late, but I think we can accommodate this "extra release"
 with minimal disruption, 
if we keep the fixes to the bare minimum
absolutely required, and it will drastically improve our perceived quality
in some areas. 

Sound agreeable?
