RE: [gmf-dev] RE: [gmf-releng] GMF: last nights build...

I performed an integration build and posted it, but a few changes were necessary:

-          I removed fragment org.eclipse.gmf.runtime.emf.ui.transfer.providers from the build as it was causing problems in the generated scripts.  I will investigate this further during the week.  Similar problems used to occur with the printing fragment.

-          I fixed compilation errors in the files below:

tests/org.eclipse.gmf.tests.runtime.common.ui/src/org/eclipse/gmf/tests/runtime/common/ui/internal/resources: FileChangeEventTest.java (+6), FileObserverFilterTest.java (+11)

tests/org.eclipse.gmf.tests/src/org/eclipse/gmf/tests/setup: RuntimeWorkspaceSetup.java (+3 -3)

-          I reverted the changes made to RuntimeWorkspaceSetup in order to allow our nightly builds to run using the stable (milestone) configuration.  This week we should be able to move to M3.

Best,

Rich

Hi Rich,

Is it possible to run another integration build with Anthony's fix in place?  I didn't see an active integration build link on the web site...

Regards,

-Steve

Hi Richard,

I implemented the new Eclipse 3.2 method so that the 3.2 build will work.

The new method has no effect in Eclipse 3.1.1 so it is backward compatible,

We are going to remove this plug-in very soon, but this fix will do for now.

Cheers...
Anthony

The UML2 weekly integration build isn’t available yet, so I targeted the following configuration:

-
         uml2-I200510270942.zip
-
         eclipse-SDK-I20051102-1600-win32.zip
-
         emf-sdo-runtime-I200511030200.zip
-
         GEF-runtime-I20051103.zip

It seems the same compilation problem is preventing our production of an integration build:

Severity            Description       Resource          In Folder           Location           Creation Time    Id

2          The type PathVariableManager must implement the inherited abstract method IPathVariableManager.resolveURI(URI)            PathVariableManager.java            org.eclipse.gmf.runtime.common.ui.pathvariables.ide/src/org/eclipse/gmf/runtime/common/ui/pathvariables/ide/internal          line 45   November 3, 2005 11:47:46 PM  56326

/**

* Core's implementation of IPathVariableManager.

* <p>

* Code taken from Eclipse while waiting for bugzilla 49149 to be resolved.

*/

Perhaps we should update our copy? ;-)

Thanks,

Rich

Hi Rich,

Should we retarget to last night's integration build?

  Thanks

I’m pushing the build up now, and rebuilding again… I’ll push that one up when it’s done as well.

I’ve not let CruiseControl run freely lately due to repeated CVS timeouts (and test hangs).  When these are resolved, I’ll put it back on automatic.

Thanks,

Rich

Last nights build doesn't appear to have run?  If it did run, there was an eroneous change made for bugzilla 114746 that has been subsequently rolled back.
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=114746 (my fault entirely)

Is it possible to spin another build around lunch time?
