Re: [gef-dev] GEF4 0.3.0 vs. 1.0.0, GitHub migration

Hi team,

I think we have then finalized our decision and have agreed on contributing 1.0.0 to Neon. I will announce this on cross-projects (and again here) when promoting M5 in a week.

Regarding GitHub, it seems we are all convinced that migrating our project would be beneficial and I thus regard this decision as being made as well. As I do not want to disturb our active development (we will be quite busy up to M7), I would propose to schedule such a migration for after the Neon feature freeze (M7). This would also give us further time to clarify the details (Would we have to migrate both repositories? What implications would that have? etc.). I will contact the foundation and will keep you updated.

Cheers
Alexander

Hi,

+1 for contributing 1.0.0 to Neon.

+1 for moving Git repo and issues to GitHub.

For the reasons Zoltán described I'd prefer a review process without rebasing on GitHub.

I can see the motivation for keeping GEF 3.x on the old infrastructure, but wouldn't it actually be easier for everybody (users, developers, Foundation IT) to have it all in one place?

Cheers,
Fabian
