BendpointEditPolicy is designed to work
with connections whose routing constraints are a List of Bendpoints.  It
sounds like your constraint is not set on the connection you are selecting.
 If the connection has no bendpoints, its constraint should be the
empty list.  I don't see anywhere in that class where NULL is anticipated
as the constraints value.  But, if you see a regression in behavior
from 2.1, open a bugzilla.
