You could test it already by doing what any user can already do,
i.e., use Install New Software and install that feature (which is
in the Train repo) into Scout...

I went ahead and created a gerrit to
add it to the following packages which all had
the JDT feature included already
Please raise your objection if you
think it is a problem. If I don't hear back
I assume you are happy to have it in the
package you maintain.
Holger's suggestion below
seems like a good idea, any thoughts on
this, particularly from the Java/JEE
package maintainers, but really any of
the packages (except the few non-Java
focussed ones)? The time is now to do
this, before EOD Wednesday.
