I don't know if it is working properly, if I go to Window > Show View > Terminal, the view shows in the bottom area, but it is empty. clicking the icon with a plus brings a new tab, with a local shell.

Also please note that the name -macosx- is no longer in use for about 2 years, and the current macOS is now at version 12.1; version 10 (X) is long gone.
+1 I think these should be renamed. I will schedule this for the beginning of 2022-03 release cycle and see if we can bring others on board. There is no plan to change the internal names of plugins, but the actual package name should be up to date. FWIW the installer is eclipse-inst-jre-mac64.dmg eclipse-inst-jre-mac-aarch64.dmg - i.e. no macosx or cocoa in the name. See Bug
