Yeah, I just hate having to wait a while year to see this addressed. But I agree, the Java IDE should support plugin development.

Hi Doug,

I thought about this myself already but wanted to wait till after Luna before starting such a discussion. If people are ok that the Java package gets the additional pieces from Standard (mainly source code plus PDE) then this should be a no brainer IMO.

Given the numbers, I think people are confused between the two. If people perceive that Eclipse is a Java IDE, why have two entries‎ for it. What does Eclipse Standard even mean if not the Java IDE.
