Markus,

  I had time the other day to rerun the P2 installer that the my local 
version of the Wizard created.  The installer ran for a while and when 
it finished I had a new working version of Eclipse.

  Next I will inspect where the P2 installer is pulling the packages 
from.  Let me know if there are any low hanging bugs I could get started 
working on.
