RE: [epf-dev] Preliminary Agenda for theVancouver EclipseCommitters Face to Face
|
Hi
Peter,
Not a
problem! Let me know when you have something for me to review, I will be glad to
work on it. Feel free to call me on my cell anytime (847.477.4158).
I am
in India on June 30th, and can call you from there. I'll need to understand how
my cell will work over there though (SIM card etc.), but that should be doable.
Let's touch base when you are back from Europe and we'll go from
there.
Thanks,
Kirti
Hello Kirti. Sorry for not making any progress on the components, yet. My
schedule was just crazy recently. I will also not make it to Vancouver as
I am already traveling to Europe, but I think creating the promised prototype
would be a great activity for the long flight. I will send something for
review next week and we could follow up over the phone once I am back.
What about June 30th, 8 am PT, 11am ET?
Thanks and best regards,
Peter
Haumer.

Hello all,
Although I will not be able to join the face to face
due to schedule conflicts, I would like to join the discussion on - Working on
the Process Component concept. Wondering whether I could call in at that
time.
I am especially interested in continuing the collaboration with
Peter and the tools SIG to further the integration of Work Components into EPF.
If there is any face to face planned during the RSDC this June, count me
in!
Thanks,
Kirti

Face to Face
Hi,
Patrik Johnson will join, representing Ivar Jacobson International. DJ
could not make it. Patrik would like to continue the discussion we started in
last F2F regarding how to integrate EssUP and OpenUP/Basic. I suggest we cover
that topic on Tuesday.
Some other topics to consider when we discuss
agenda on Monday morning:
- Walk through what needs to be done for Sep
release and who is doing what. We previously brought up adding a short iteration
ending Sep 30. Is that necessary?
- What are the views we should use to
present OpenUP. This will have a huge impact on the look & feel of the
process
- What should we do about principles & practices? Steve has
suggested a number of practices for collaboration, but that makes it look
uneven, so we should consider adding practices also for other principles. Which
ones? Also, what shoudl practices look like? Should we think of using them as
practices being aspects for process configuration, similar to EssUP?
- VBSE
(assuming USC is attending). Getting it into OpenUP.
- Working on the
Process Component concept
- MDD review. Have a group walk through the
proposed plug-in and write down suggestions for improvements
...
Cheers

general and overarching issues
-
architecture

-
requirements management
After Lunch – 5:00

Wednesday
9:00 am – Lunch
General and overarching issues collaborative workshop.
This half day session to set
objectives for developing content for the collaborative and other overarching
issues.
The agenda is fairly fluid and will
likely change. Also just to note, I will miss the Tuesday morning session
because I have a class – remember I’m a student J
Contrary to what we said before, we WILL be providing
morning snacks (e.g. coffee, muffins, etc) and light lunch (sandwiches, pizza…).
With respect to the overarching issues and collaborative content,
I will send a note this weekend outlining possible activities and objectives.
I will send details mid next week showing the location of our
facilities at UBC and best routes from the hotels to UBC.
The
hotels we are using are the Sheraton Wall Center, The Metropolitan, and The Four
Seasons. These hotels are within three blocks of each other (the Four Seasons
and Metropolitan are across from each other). Vancouver’s shopping, restaurant,
and bar districts are all within walking distance.
Looking forward
to seeing you all in Vancouver,
Steve
