Hi, Ed,

I guess we shouldn't eliminate the '2.3
M*' that we have so far for EMF-EMF because they are still in use.  For
2.4/1.2 and beyond, there shouldn't be confusion with the simple M* form
because, as an EMF project, all of the components align to the same release
schedule, including milestones (at least, I assume that they would be nearly
aligned).

Note that 'M1', 'M2', etc. and 'RC'
will sort to the top of the pick-list, so we won't have a great deal of
scrolling to do when triaging bugs.  Version numbers follow.

P.S.  After the EMF-EMF 2.3 release,
it may be a good idea to delete the '2.x M*' entries or convert them to
'M*' because they can never be used again and they occupy space in the
list of release numbers.

Simple sounds good.  :-)  Certainly when things are a year apart,
there's
not so much room for confusion, but I suppose that automatic queries might
get confused...

Hi, all,

Now that the EMF-QTV components (and others) have joined the Modeling/EMF
project, EMF has components that are actively developing a 1.x version
(1.1, in Europa).

Rather than add 1.1 M7, 1.2 M1, 1.2 M2, etc. milestones for these
components, I think we should switch over to the simple 'M1', 'M2', 'M3',
..., 'M7', 'RC' system that other projects use (e.g., EMFT).

What do y'all think?
