Re: [egit-dev] Testing on Windows

I do work mainly on windows... particularly for the reason that we tend to neglect that OS. I am not specifically testing it though.

As I am not always reading through 100% of the Egit/Jgit bugs, feel free to ping if I can help testing on one.

Would it be possible to run tests on both Windows/Java7 and Linux/Java7 from

Oh, and give us some Windows users that test the code before
release or, better yet, test or produce patches in Gerrit.

any idea how to find them ?

Most (or all?) EGit/JGit developers are either on Linux or OS X and we
do smoke testing on Windows, but real testing gets done doing real work
with EGit, and for me Windows is not a part of that.

this seems to be true, I can say that all committers in my team are using Mac or Linux

Only testing releases means there is a turnaround of half-a-year from bug report
to the next release.

we release 4 times a year so turnaround is rather 3 months than half a year
