Hi all, the latest nightly builds create a new top level window when you select the 'Compare with->HEAD Revision' menu.  It used to create a new editor.  The new behaviour is a regression since the top-level window is disruptive to a standard multi editor workspace.  It also means standard functions like search and editing are no longer available.

Can we revert to the old behaviour?

I pushed http://egit.eclipse.org/r/#change,3501 for review which should fix this

by reverting to the old implementation.
