No.  Missing feature.

On the unified view, syntax coloring is off entirely, so lines can
be colored red for removed and green for delete.  If you want syntax
coloring use the side-by-side view, where its an option.

I guess we could still show the syntax coloring flag in the unified
view and just have it off by default rather than on by default, but
we don't.  :-\

Been there for a very, very, very long time, over a year now.
Did you just discover it today?  Wow.  I guess that is not an
obvious feature...
