Re: [eclipse.org-membership-at-large] Open Measurement Data Management Working Group

Interesting. What makes this different from the Automotive WG?
Aside from a typo (Automotve instead of Automotive!) in the name of one of its standards that nobody corrected for 2(!) years now, the site shows no involvement from any company that isn't also in the Auto WG already. Imagine the fairly sucessful WG Unconference from ECF took place more often, would members of this new WG have its own meetings, do it part of Auto WG or both?;-)  Most members would have to split or send multiple people if they're serious about participating.

If this WG as the title suggests plans to exchange with others especially Science, then I'd be interested to get involved as in Science, e.g. subscribe to Malling list, etc. There is no current Eclipse project that fits the term Open Measurement more than UOMo;-)
And Ford's OpenXC (de facto standard) effectively mimicking what UOMo or JSR 363 do speaks for itself. They (Ford, GM) could also get involved if they aren't btw.

Thanks,
Werner
