I like this idea as well. To start I think we need to figure out how many machines we need, what recording software to use (Camtasia was suggested but there may be better options, I'm not sure), and if there are any other costs associated with this idea (such as on site support). With this information we will better understand this proposal and know what it will take to make it a reality.

One potential pitfall I see is presenters often will make last minute tweaks to their presentation and using an EclipseCon machine will require them to update the material on the machine before their presentation.

Anyway. Anyone want to take the action of investigating this proposal?

Correct. I like the idea of recording the sessions, we just don't have
the money in the budget to supply machines for each room with recording
software one them. However, if we could get someone to loan us machines
- perhaps Apple??
