RE: [eclipse-dev] eclipse 3.0 log file is missing

Also, there are cases when Eclipse can crash, and the only errors will go to a timestamped log file in the configuration directory. You might try there.

The log file will appear if something goes wrong (exception thrown, messages...). Are you saying that eclipse "crashed" and you could not find a log file?

[eclipse-dev] eclipse 3.0 log file is missing

Hi,

I cannot find eclipse 3.0 log file. Log file property points to workspace/.metadata/.log file, but this file is missing. This happens only with eclipse 3.0. No problems with 2.x version.

Log file is absent if eclipse is running or closed.

What am I missing?
