Re: [eclipse-dev] Fastviews on left side instead of status line at the bottom?
|
I just found out how I can dock the fastview-bar to the left side and
that I can choose a horizontal orientation for the fastviews. So part of
my question is answered.
That's great already.
It would still be even nicer, if I could tell some or all of the
horizonally oriented fastviews to open from the bottom and not from the
top. Is this possible?
Greetings,

in older eclipse-versions the Fastview-Icons where positioned in the
left column under the Perspective-Icons.
Now the Fastview-Icons are positioned in the status bar.
I find this rather annoying, since it's much more out of the way and
thus harder to reach with the mouse.
Are there plans to create a more flexible Fastview-Bar, like the new
Perspective Bar?
It would actually be great to have multiple Fastview-Bars. One on the
bottom, one to the left, and maybe even one to the right and at the top.
The Fastviews could then fade in from different directions.
This would be very convenient for windows like: Console, Search,
Problems, Tasks, ... where width is more important than height. They
could then fade in from the bottom and take up the whole width, but not
the whole height.
