Re: [ecf-dev] source references header

As Markus points out, on our radar. It's very new (introduced in M7) and it presently only works for CVS since the generation of the source reference requires some support from the repository provider.

We plan to have our support for this ready in time for RC1.

Thomas Hallgren

Hi Folks,

Apparently, there is a new header to support importing of a specific
version of Eclipse source code via PDE. See this page:

http://wiki.eclipse.org/PDE/UI/SourceReferences

I would like to take advantage of this for ECF for Helios, but when I
put the

|generateSourceReferences = true

in a build.properties for a particular bundle, it doesn't seem to have
any effect with our builder (i.e. Hudson/Buckminster builder).

Does anyone (Markus...or perhaps Thomas/Henrik) know how to get this
Eclipse-SourceReferences to be added to the build of a given bundle (or
all?).

Thanks,

Scott
Question is, where this source ref generator takes it information from?
On the build machine, all projects still contain the CVS/ folder which
keeps the repo URI.
But then the Bucky book does not say anything about SourceReferences and
[0] is still marked new.
