[e4-dev] (My) working areas for 4.3: Generic Rendering Framework for both SWT and JavaFX 2.x Engines

Hi All,

After many discussions I decided to contribute my generic e4 rendering engine framework to the e4 incubator project. The goal is to have product quality engines for both SWT and JavaFX 2.x that share all the model related code. The same approach also works well for Addons.

You find the current bugzilla entry at https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=384843
My current code is on GitHub https://github.com/toedter/e4-rendering

Currently I
- Clean up the code base
- Do some refactoring and renaming
- Check with my employer Siemens AG

Next week I will start a longer vacation, so the time frame for contributing the code to e4 would be end of September.

My JavaFX rendering engine is based on Tom's e(fx)clipse infrastructure. Tom, what do you think about combining our efforts regarding a JavaFX based rendering engine?

Best regards,
