Re: [dsdp-tcf-dev] Using TCF with gdbserver

I'll be working on making TCF better integrated into CDT for the next release. I'll make sure I consider this use case. CDT's EDC debugger already does this, sorta.

Hi Guys,

We'd like to have a try using TCF with gdbserver. We're looking at the "remote c/c++ application launch" plugin(org.eclipse.cdt.launch.remote), and found that currently TCF can not work with the plugin because it requires an RSE connection which has the shell service. Currently the shell service is not available either in the TCF agent and the TCF/RSE integration plugin. We choose TCF as basic communication mechanism between host and target(we don't have ssh/telnet service on target), but requires some more advanced debugging features which is available in gdbserver.

We'd like to know is there any plan to include such services in TCF agent and TCF/RSE integration? Thanks!

Best Regards,
Lianhao Lu
