To download the "master copy" of the sources, you have to use a "Subversion" client.
The repository is located at:
http://dev.eclipse.org/svnroot/dsdp/org.eclipse.mtj
You can check out the code by using a commandline SVN client and the following commandline:
svn co http://dev.eclipse.org/svnroot/dsdp/org.eclipse.mtj
Alternatively - you can use "Subclipse", another Eclipse Plug-in. This will allow you to check out the project directly from within Eclipse.
After installing Subclipse, go to "File -> New -> Other... -> Project from Subversion", create a new Repository Entry with above URL and follow the wizards.

inside of it there is a zip file with the source of each plugin. all source is suppose to be there (at least our build environment should make sure of that)

Great news, congratulations.
It seems the SDK from download site at _http://download.eclipse.org/dsdp/mtj/downloads/drops/R-0.9-200810141345/index.html_ does not contain the sources, only the .class files. Where else can I download the sources for 0.9?
