Eclipse 3.5M6 - don't know if that makes a difference.  The install 
of 3.5M6 is new/clean.

I installed directly into the plugins directory -- just a direct 
extract of the zip.  Should not make a difference.
Under plugins, I have a directory 
"org.eclipse.dltk.core.source_1.0.0.v20081009-1644-7B8T0EAAoOQAOz0dV8P4SQ" 
that contains the src.zip's a few levels down.
