Re: [Dltk-dev] When drop eclipse 3.3 compatibility?

If some really want to go to 3.4 i am not the one that will veto to stop that.
You can go ahead, i only am not able to update then constantly because (i just discussed that internally over here) we will go to eclipse 3.4 at the start of the new year so somewhere in January
So it is for me not that long to be a bit behind, if you guys want to go to 3.4 right now

Hi Johan,

Thanks for sharing your 3.3 status. Obviously if there is some technical reasons to drop 3.3 - we'll do this. Also DLTK 1.0 shall be compatible with 3.5 to join Galileo, so if we'd need to choose between 3.5 and 3.3 - 3.5 should win.

But as far as I understand, at this moment we have no serious technical need to drop 3.3 compatibility, right? Also we need to try to avoid situation when some committers/adopters stop working on latest DLTK in favor of old/branched streams because of 3.3 compatibility issues.

So guys, could you please vote for 3.3 compatibility drop, according to your business and technical needs. [If you do not vote - I'd assume 3.3 compatibility is not relevant and can be dropped]. As I understand Johan already voted to stay with 3.3 for a while.

Kind Regards,
Andrey

we are currently still on 3.3
we are planning to upgrade in the coming months but are not there. But i guess i could stop updating for a while so that i use the current source.

But wherent there also others that still wanted 3.3 compatibility?
I remember we had this discussion already a while ago.

Hi all,

Are there any objections to drop eclipse 3.3 compatibility now and go forward with eclipse 3.4?

Thanks,
Alex
