I have confirmed that if you have exactly the right versions of the things you need (EMF, GEF, dtp and a few others) for the specific version of eclipse that you are running (I’m running with 3.4 M4, so other versions mileage may vary significantly)

WTP with ‘Run on Server’ capability works for Linux.
