It's a very ambiguous error message.
 It could be a syntax error in the query XML.  Unfortunately
specific information regarding the error is lost by the time it gets back
to the user.  There is a priority 1 defect for this, set to be addressed
in i10: https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=209866 .   I
had created https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=220010 specifically
for this, but it's possibly a duplicate of 209866.

Any ideas as to what it might mean.
