Corona Server
Agent Processing
Corona Server Agents are plugins deployed into the Corona
Collaboration Server. Corona Server Agents monitor Context Containers
watching for changes. Agents rely upon the Collaboration Events being
propagated across the entire workgroup including the Collaboration
Server. The Agents register as listeners to Collaboration Events
regarding changes to Repositories in the Context Containers. If a
workgroup member adds new items to a repository the Collaboration Events
indicating these additions will be intercepted by the Server Agents. If a
Server Agent is responsible for indexing resource content it would determine if
it can index this type of resource and if it can update its index lists.
Another Server Agent may aggregate information from actions occurring in
the Context Container. A simple example would be tracking the number of
workgroup members working within a Context Container during the day. A
Server Agent could listen for Collaboration Events about workgroup members
opening a Context Container and then increment a simple count and then writing
this information into a database record at the end of a day. As we build
Collaboration Event Filtering we should pay attention to the needs of both
collaboration workgroup members and Server Agents.
