  • Eclipse virtual server (corona.eclipse.org) is available.
    1. Configured with JDK 1.5 and Eclipse SDK 3.2 / WTP 1.5

 

 

Minutes

  • Development Environment
    • Reformatting source code prior to commit can cause other committers much pain during merge.
      • Source format should be the default style that is included with Eclipse IDE.
  • Community Building
    • New project: Kepler
      • Appears to have some overlap in the area of its “Community Project Model” with Corona’s “Project Context Container”
      • Discussions with Kepler to be held via Kepler’s newsgroup.
    • Flash demo would be beneficial to show value to community.
  • Release Engineering
    • Build distribution for both Windows (zip) and Unix (tar).
    • Documentation (wiki) is needed to use both client and server side distributions.
    • Release notes
      • EMFT will be creating new script for generating release notes to extract data from Eclipse database.
  • Corona 1.0.0M5
    • Status…
      • Bugzilla: 41 issues, 17 still have status of “open”
    • Testing / Verification
      • Accessing remote Context Container Manager via web services worked.
      • Occasionally double perspectives were displayed.
      • Initially events were bi-directional.  Eventually, it became single directional.  And finally stopped working all together.
    • All committers to focus their attention on this milestone and resolve outstanding issues.
  • Corona 1.0.0M7
    • Planning has begun.  Initial scope is defined on wiki.
    • ECF v1.0 will require significant changes for adoption.
