The chat code is being re-written.  It will no longer use the chat example code from ECF.

Dennis and I talked on Thurs(10/26) or Fri(10/27) about this bug.  The code will be modified to due what you want.  A side affect of this is,  that once you switch to chat,  you should be able to see previous chat that has taken place since the PCV was opened.

The new code should be checked in by the end of this week.
