[cdt-dev] Extension point for Indexer

Hi all,

This ten years old question
<https://www.eclipse.org/forums/index.php/t/754794/>   unfortunately has no
answer. Especially the first of the three questions "Does the IIndexer
interface exist?" would be good to know.

In the API
(https://help.eclipse.org/2019-03/index.jsp?topic=%2Forg.eclipse.cdt.doc.isv%2Freference%2Fextension-points%2Findex.html)
it says:

> Plug-ins that want to extend this extension point must implement
> org.eclipse.cdt.core.index.IIndexer interface. 

Is this (still) true? I can't find that interface or any class implementing
it. In case the description is incorrect, which would be the interface that
needs to be implemented?
