I also have an MinGW32 version of gcc-4.6.2 (don't know, when and why I got this), which does not generate dwarf4 as it seems.
Can't tell for a MinGW64, since I have found the 64bit build from equation.com, and I don't need the MinGW/MSYS env.

Which version of MinGW are you using ?

I can't explain it. Don't know if there are recent changes in the binary parser code. Maybe somebody else on this list can comment. In any case please file a bug for the binary parser.
