RE: [cdt-dev] Build Automatically doesn't work in cdt4.0.2withecl ipse 3.3

Bug: https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=198591

It's quite crazy that performing a build locks the workspace such that users can't save. As Nokia have said, if your make takes an hour you have to go drink coffee for an hour (or stop pressing ctrl-s after every line! Eek!) I suspect this is one of the biggests performance gripes of people who build within CDT.

If this bug was fixed would incremental build be a saner option?

And probably the reason I don't appreciate build automatically is that I
save often. And I mean, there are times when I'll hit ^s after every line. I
guess I lost too much work due to crashes in a previous life.

And it's a pretty nasty scenario when you hit save while a build is running.
