Hey gang I figured out what was wrong. The Eclipse build machine is a ppc64 monster. Once I convinced Eclipse to run in ppc mode on a ppc tar ball, everything works. The new build is here:

Somewhat anti-climatically, all the JUnits passed. But at least we know that now ;).
