Re: [cdt-dev] New and Noteworthy
|
Ok, the coins are in bugzilla #192994.
BTW, I installed the XL C/C++ fragment, so I would have two compiler
settings as base to add my own.
I have some ideas, but I'm not that deep into Java/Eclipse programming.
I hope, I have a little more spare
time in the second half of this year. Last year up to now, I'm busy at
work with lots of releases and tests of
our embedded stuff. But I still keep an eye (or two) on Eclipse and CDT
and the other plugins, especially
if they would help me in C/C++ development and maybe tests, reviews etc.
I'm still lokking for something to browse "unknown" code similar to
source-navigator or source-insight.
I like the include-dependency graphs of sourcenav and the grep search.
I'd also need some kind of call-graph tools.
For the embedded stuff, if I'm adding a toolchain-plugin for it, I'd
need extensions/replacement of some syntax-tokens,
e.g. adding intrinsic functions, keyword extensions (__sfrbit, __at(),
void __interrupt(n) isrhnd(void),... ), __asm() instead of asm(), ...

As I just see from the images about the XL C/C++ fragment, why are this
not ordered underneath
the Executable/Static Library/Shared Library in the New Project wizard?
This looks inconsistent for me, and would make a mess, if there come
more compiler fragments,
doing it like this or the other?
Just my 0.02€

I started a bugzilla entry with a skeleton file and a few screenshots to

This goes in the org.eclipse.cdt.doc.user plugin
and it replaces the concepts\cdt_c_whatsnew.htm file.
There is a zip file with a few new images too.
