The current managed builder functionality will not change significantly.
It will be extended with the new functionality such as per-folder
settings, tool-chain modification, etc.
The buildDefinitions extension point schema will be extended to support
the new functionality and will contain/support all elements available
currently.
The main backward compatibility issues that may appear were described in
the summary and design documents for the New Project Model Core. (Please
see the "Backward compatibility" sections of those documents for more
detail.
