[cdt-dev] Building CDT 3.1.0 from scratch without _3.1.0.[timestamp] in

I'm building CDT 3.1.0 from scratch. We plan to package it and
distribute to our customers. However, we plan to create a sumo Eclipse
package with whatever plugins they request. We know how to build CDT
from scratch but don't know how to remove the _3.1.0.[timestamp] from
the path (and -3.1.0-[timestamp] from the tarball in
results/I.[timestamp]). How do we do this?
