RE: [cdt-dev] CDT New Project Model design initial draft

Hi guys,

Before starting doing anything New Project Model-related, I’d like to here the feed-back on the design posted recently to the bugzilla (https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=115935), to make sure everyone agrees on the main points of the design.

Doug, you mentioned there going to be an Indexer conf call where we could discuss the main concepts of the New Project Model. When are you planning to organize the call?

We could also organize a separate call dedicated to the Project Model if others think this is necessary or just discuss the Project Model in the bugzilla or on this list.

Thoughts?

Thanks,

Mikhail

Excellent, thanks Mikhail. Yes, all indexer discussions end up trying to figure out how to do multiple configurations, which of course requires that the CDT core know about configurations, which points to the work you are doing. We should take a look at your proposal and bring it up at the next indexing conf call.

Subject: [cdt-dev] CDT New Project Model design initial draft

Hi all,

I’ve attached the initial draft of the CDT New Project Model design to the bugzilla:

https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=115935

I hope the design could serve as the base and synchronization point for different enhancements planned to be done for leveraging the CDT 4.0 in the areas of better multi-language support, better usability and integrity, etc.

Your comments are highly appreciated.

Thanks,

Mikhail
