RE: [cdt-dev] Converting VS projects to eclipse

No, there’s nothing like that today. But this isn’t the first request for such. I’d like to see support in the CDT for Microsoft’s .Net Framework SDK 2.0, which includes the 2005 version of their VC compiler. Having such an import capability would be a huge plus for this, and would probably drive what the MBS integration would look like.

BTW, there is another open source IDE, Code::Blocks, which does this.

Subject: [cdt-dev] Converting VS projects to eclipse

Hello folks,

a colleague of mine has a set of MS Visual Studio projects and is considering switching to eclipse. The problem is that he has individual compiler settings for many source files, so an automatic conversion would be desired. So has anybody done something like this, converting Visual Studio solutions / projects to eclipse MBS projects?

BTW the VS projects were originally done in VS 6 but by conversion are also available in VS 2000, 2003 and 2005 formats.

Thanks
