RE: [cdt-dev] CDT 3.0 Closing
|
Title: Message
Done. I added notes to bugs 102396 and
66496.
-Dan
You may
want to update this defect -- it indicates that this problem occurs in 2.1.1
too.

I would agree that 3.0 is not quite as stable as 2.1.1.
The bug that's most noticable for me is 102396. 2.1.1 doesn't have
this problem...at least it doesn't for me. Despite this, I continue to
use 3.0.

There will be a What's
new document for CDT 3.0 soon. In the meantime, check the CDT 3.0
development plan, or bugzilla to see which defects have been addressed
.
If 3.0 is
not as stable as 2.1.1 for you, please raise defects on the problems.
In general the committers have the belief that 3.0 is much more stable
than 2.0 (other than the C++ browsing perspective).
You are free to remain on any
release that works for you. Obviously the upgrade decision should be
based on your ability to use the software to accomplish your goals :-)
I would suggest that everybody move to 3.0 and provide feedback on its
shortcomings -- otherwise CDT will not get any better for your
purposes.
There are no plans to make CDT 2.X run on Eclipse 3.1
