I'd also like to put forward two proposals (for discussion) for points
6 and 7, as follows:

- CPPUnit: given that CPPUnit does not have the same deployement
and acceptance as JUnit, my recommendation would be to have 
a CPPUnit Eclipse integration hosted along with the CPPUnit
project (e.g. on sourceforge), and have the CPPUnit CDT plugins
be available through a "CDT contributed plugins" page.

- UI testing: as mentionned, after talking with John D., we believe
it would be acceptable to use a commercial UI automated testing tool,
and check in the test scripts to the Eclipse CVS server. I'm going to
propose Winrunner from Mercury Interactive (since we already have
that internally) -- we can discuss alternatives.
