[cdt-debug-dev] x,y,zmodem upload from Eclipse to embedded target

I'm considering adding x,y,zmodem support to the Zylin Embedded CDT plugin.

Is there any interest in this?

I would be adding it on top of the tm-terminal Eclipse project.

The code is written and seems to work fine, but I'm awaiting the
fallout of the patch/design discussion to tm-terminal before I can
make something that could build directly upon the unmodified
tm-terminal(+ rxtx.org need to get their Eclipse plugin out of the
door). Also, the code needs tidying up.

Before you answer yes to a new feature. "Tell me about the downside, I
can live with the upside"... :-) Do you have something else that you
value higher? Perhaps better support for GDB console command startup
scripts would do in terms of loading program to the target?

Is this a non-sequitor to a cdt-debug-dev discussion? Perhaps... Then
again there has been some recent talk about adding more JTAG support
in CDT 4.0 and there may be those out there that need or want
x,y,zmodem for firmware uploads + CDT GDB JTAG.
