Hi,

I have a quick questions regarding tagging:
http://wiki.eclipse.org/Platform-releng/Automated_Platform_Build

It says that [tagging is currently enabled, but not yet "turned on", as
of 2/11/2013].

[dw] I'll remove that line as its now enabled.

Do you tag before a build or after a build? I'm wondering because I
moved to CBI as well. Previously I was using the same mechanisme as
platform did (with an auto-tag script tagging repos and updating map
files). Is this still required?

[dw] No. Though we do have a bash script that "tags" I-builds (with the build ID) ... its is just a git tag, for "whole repo" ... not the original concept you are/were using.

Is there a script that checks if there are new commits available for
proper tagging of the Git repo or is the version qualifier entirely
based on last commit timestamp (and no longer a tag)?

[dw] No script. All handled by ... honestly, not sure off the top of my head, one of the tycho extra plugins or cbi plugins ... The version qualifier is entirely based on last commit timestamp (for bundles ... similar, but slightly different rules for features ... and, different for branding bundles, which always get "date of build") and, btw, "pom only" changes don't count.

Good luck!
