Hi Mike,

I just installed a BPEL-Designer Dev-Environment from scratch.

1. Installed Ganymede (Eclipse for RCP/Plug-in Developers)
2. From the Ganymede update site installed the latest
  • GEF
  • EMF
  • WST
  • (JST)
3. Got the latest BPEL code from CVS
4. Let it compile and started it as a new Eclipse Application

I didn't experience any problems. Seems to work like a charme...

OK. Don't know how I'm gonna fix it. I've installed everything more than 6 times. I'm getting tired.
Lookking at your bpel packages, I don't have feature, releng and site.
Does this mean my sources are not up to date? I'll check but I doubt it. I double check every 10 minutes ;-)

What are these packages?

Hey Mike,

I just tried it: With JDK 5 and JDK 6, I was not able to reproduce - I
could create a BPEL Project, and I could create a Process - no problem at
all.

Here's my launch config ad my workspace content:

I'm back to the sarting point where I had this 'new bpel project' bug.
See png attached.

So Simon, could you double check it work on your side pls?
I've upgraded to ganymede and installed the 4 famous dependencies by hand.
I compiled the project and launch it in debug mode.

It crashes when creating a new project.

Any ideas?

Ok.
I (re)installed everything on a 'classic' ganimede package.
The compilation errors are gone.

 Well ... I did install everything on a Ganymede "java".
 I have 34475 errors :-(

 can't find the org.eclipse.emf package for example whereas i can see it
 in the 'Installed Software' section.

 What did i do wrong?

    Ok thanx.
    So I started from a clean Ganymede editor and installed the 4 listed
    plugin.

    It does not compile.
    org.eclipse.wst.*, org.eclipse.wst and possibly more seem to be
    missing.

    Was my Ganymede "too" clean?

       Hi Mike,

       of course it doesn't work with the update site just yet - since we
      don't
       have a official Ganymede based "release", just code that runs on
      top.
       In the maillist. a few days a ago, there was a list of
      requirements that
       you need to install. In Short:

       1.) Install a 3.4
       2.) Get the latest and greatest versions for the dependencies.

          * EMF 2.4
          * GEF 3.4
          * DTP SDK 1.6
          * WTP (Web Tools Platform) 3.0.x

       3.) Check out CVS HEAD for all BPEL plugins
       4.) Start a runtime workbench and debug ...

       I tried Ganymede.
       Unfortunately, it does not seem to work with the bpel update site.
       So I can not compile the Bpel SVN sources ...

       What should I do?

         I just tried ...

         Used ganymede and the very latest code from head
         started in debug mode
         I could create a BPEL Project, create a BPEL process etc.
      without any
         problem ?!

         Simon,

         I am not able to debug as you Mike says as well.

         I've updated all the bits from CVS but this runtime error occurs
      as
         well ...

         The selected wizard could not be started.
          Plug-in org.eclipse.bpel.runtimes was unable to load class
         org.eclipse.bpel.runtimes.ui.wizards.NewBPELProjectWizard.

                   This happens when you run on Ganymede .. Apply the
      patch
                   attached, and at
                   least that problem is gone

                   Hi all,
                    I'm trying to debug (through debug mode) my bpel
      plugin and
                   I've come
                   accross a bug when creating a new Bpel project.
                   As I thought that came from my modifs I decided to
      debug the
                   original Bpel
                   plugin (freshly updated from CVS) and I got the same
        result :-(

                   It happens at the very beginning when I want to create
      a Bpel
                   project. See
                   the pic attached.
                   It says that it was not able to load the
      NewBpelProjectWizard
                   class ...

                   Any idea?
