Meeting Logistics
Mike will not be available for the PMC meeting next week.
BIRT 2.1.3 Development
Currently, 53 defects are assigned to and addressed in the BIRT 2.1.3 maintenance release. This includes a number of recently reported community bugs.
We are now targeting late June or potentially July for this release due to workload from BIRT 2.2 development. With iText having now passed the IP approval process, we will plan for the BIRT 2.1.3 distribution to include iText.
General Information
BIRT 2.1.3 is the third maintenance release in the BIRT 2.1 release series and is intended to be narrow in scope since the development team is concentrating on BIRT 2.2. The 2.1.3 release is focused on addressing critical bugs identified by the community.

BIRT 2.2 Development
BIRT 2.2 RC2 candidate build is available for the PMC to look at. Plans for the upcoming releases are:
BIRT 2.2 RC2 - June 5
BIRT 2.2 RC3 - June 14
BIRT 2.2 RC4 - June 21
After RC3, all changes to the code base require at least one PMC member to approve the change.
General Information
The next major release of BIRT is BIRT 2.2, scheduled for June 2007 as part of the Europa Simultaneous Release (http://wiki.eclipse.org/index.php/Europa_Simultaneous_Release).
The Development Plan for BIRT 2.2 is available on the Eclipse BIRT pages (http://www.eclipse.org/birt/phoenix/project/project_plan_R2_2_0.php). A number of BIRT Project Specifications (BPS) relating to BIRT 2.2 have been posted on the BIRT Wiki.

BIRT 2.2 Release Review
The draft BIRT 2.2 Release Review slides were sent to the PMC last Wednesday, and the final ones sent on Thursday. The BIRT 2.2 Release Review will be part of the overall Europa Release Review, schedule for this Wed, June 6 at 7am Pacific.
BIRT 2.2 Plan Updates
During a final review of the published BIRT 2.2 Plan for the Release Review, we noted a couple of items that are out of date and not accurate. The Bugzilla entries for the Plan items is accurate, but the Plan had not been updated. We will update the plan to accurately reflect the current status.
BIRT 2.2 Excel Emitter
There are some Bugzilla entries logged against the BIRT 2.2 Excel emitter that need to be addressed before the final release. Larry's team will look at these.
