BIRT 2.1.1
BIRT 2.1.1 was released last week, on Thursday, September 28. This is a maintenance release only.
BIRT 2.1.2 Planning
We are starting planning of the second BIRT 2.1 maintenance release. This will be synchronized with the platform maintenance release, and is for critical bug fixes only.
Current target release date is February.
BIRT 2.2 Planning
BIRT 2.2 is the next major feature release, planned for June 2008. Initial milestones are:
The draft development plan has been published for community review at: http://www.eclipse.org/birt/phoenix/project/project_plan_R2_2_0.php. In addition, and as always, Bugzilla is being used to track all projects assigned to the release.
At this stage, not all projects have resources allocated to work on them -- so not all projects will make it to the final release. This draft plan has been posted for Community input and feedback.
MS Word Emitter
The MS Word Emitter plug-in will be committed to CVS soon.
EclipseCon 2007 BIRT Presentations
Scott is working on soliciting input from the BIRT Community regarding what BIRT content should be part of the EclipseCon 2007 event.
