Minutes

New Committers

The following new committers have been proposed and recommended to the BIRT PMC by the BIRT project teams. Following the process laid out in the BIRT project charter, the development team has asked for a vote from the existing committers on the nominations and have received at least 3 positive votes and no negative votes. The individuals have already been active in the BIRT project community and are recommended by existing Committers in their respective areas. The nominations are:

• Yufei Cheng: Yufei has been working with Viewer team to help to fix bugs and implemented new features. Work includes replacing native UI parameter request page with web based page; perfecting and fixing report parameter related issues; and setting up viewer unit test framework.


• Wei Wang: Wei has been working with the Engine team to help fix bugs and implement new capabilities.


• Xingjie He: Xingjie has been working with Model team to help to fix bugs in the model code base. Xingjie has been working on BIRT since Marhc of this year and contributions have included writing row copy; working on script APIs; and code for new rule of column binding.

The PMC unanimously approves these new Committers for the project. Welcome on board!

BIRT 2.1.1 Release

The final build for the BIRT 2.1.1 maintenance release has been posted for review and comments. Assuming no objections, this will be released in 24 hours.

BIRT 2.2 Release Planning

Draft BIRT 2.2 plan is ready and will be published for community review this week.

EclipseCon 2007 on March 5-8, 2007 - Santa Clara, CA - http://www.eclipsecon.org/2007/ - 5 long (1 hour) sessions, 6 short (10 mins) sessions, 1 demo/panel, 2 demos, 1 long (3hrs) tutorials, and 3 short (2hr) tutorials allocated to BIRT.
